1 – Introduce myself and what the film is called
Slide
2 OUTLINE OF IDEA – The outline of my idea is about a married couple who
are called Mark (44) and Amy (43). Mark recently encounters difficulty at work
as they had to dismiss him from his job as they couldn’t afford to have him
anymore. Because of this Mark takes up a nasty habit of drinking and a taste of
violence. This story is about how Amy tries to help Mark to get over the hurdle
that he has come across.

3 WHY I HAVE CHOSEN THIS IDEA – I have chosen the areas of domestic
abuse and alcohol abuse because I feel like it is not spoken about enough, and
is happening to people every day and anyone can be affected by these areas of
abuse.
From my target audience research,
I found that there is a gap in the market for a social realist film about
domestic abuse and alcoholism short film.

4 TARGET AUDIENCE – The target audience for “Change” is for ages ranging
from 18-45 year olds. I have chosen this age range purely because they might be
able to relate to the themes and issues that are being conveyed. Another reason
why I have chosen this age range is because it will create awareness about
domestic abuse and alcohol abuse.

5 EQUIPMENT – KF Productions will be using
equipment provided by The Beacon School. Due to an agreement we are able to
access this equipment, free of charge. I will be using a:
Camera – Canon Legria HF R66
Sound Recorder – Tascam DR 05
Tripod – Libeck Fluid Head
This is all very important to
my production because a company in which KF Productions are in partnership with
has allowed us to loan this equipment for our production free of charge.

6 LOCATIONS – The locations that are going to be used in change are
locations that are recognisable by anyone as the genre of the film is social
realism. This is a convention of social realism.
Slide
7 PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS – The
personnel requirements for the production will need a small skeleton crew of up
to 5 people, their roles include:
u A director, writer and producer which is done by one
person only
u Lighting operator
u Assistant cinematographer
u Director of photography
u Sound recordist
I have chosen these particular
roles because I feel like they are a vital part of the production process.
The director/writer and
producer are a main factor because they have the idea and the vision for the
finished product, they interpret the script and the story to themselves but
keeping it as close as possible.
Lighting operator is important
because they would need to light up places that are not covered by the indoor
lights so we would need a lighting operator to put in lights so the set is lit
up.
Assistant cinematographer is
important because they can throw ideas to the director of photography and work
together.
Director of photography runs
all the camera operators and is in charge of how the frames look, also he is in
charge of the lighting operators, he has an important role to achieve.
Finally the sound recordist, I
have chosen this role because we want the best quality sound when filming
because we want the audience to get the
best experience out of the film.

8 BUDGET – The budget KF Productions has
lined up for this production is a minimum budget of little to nothing, a
desired budget would be £10,000.
Slide 9 Project Schedule - The
schedule I have chosen to use is that I film 4 days a week for two weeks. I
feel that this will allow enough time to capture the footage I need to make
this a great and successful short film. The editing process will take 3-5
days.
Slide
10 DISTRIBUTION - The distribution for the short film would be on YouTube
or Vimeo as it is easy access for anyone who has access to the internet and on
top of that it is free so it doesn’t affect my budget.
